My personal favourite final fantasy world has to be the world of Ivalice. Not only does it span across multiple great games it's also terribly underrated like the games. I highly recommend Final Fantasy XII and any Final Fantasy Tactics games as they all are gorgeously crafted with hours upon hours of gameplay.
Anyhow here's what makes Ivalice so awesome:
Multi-Race World: Ivalice residents include humes (humans), veira, gria, nu mou, bangaa, seeq, moogles, bakamy, occuria, garif.
Consistent timeline throughout games: Which means after a game ends and if you want to find out what happened to your favourite character, there is a good chance they will make a....
CAMEO: Great to boost character storylines and just for fun.
Summons: Known as scions are some of the coolest and most unique summons in the final fantasy series.
Gameplay: Especially FF Tactics has to be the most fun game, I've clocked the most hours on Final Fantasy Tactics A2 then any other game I've ever played.
Concept art: Most gorgeous concept art, seriously should check them out.
Politics: (Okay I really love games with rich politics like Final Fantasy XII and Dragon Age II)

I totally agree with you. These are ones of the greatest and most memorable games I've ever played. They give off very specific vibes, truly wonderful pieces of art. Maybe you could include also the soundtrack into your list, it matches with the concept art and overall feeling so well.
